Mangrove Jack’s Homage to Hoegaarden Brew
INGREDIENTS:
- 1x Traditional Series Crossman’s Gold Lager
- 1kg Beer Enhancer Bavarian Wheat or 1.2 kg of Mangrove Jack's Wheat Liquid Malt Extract (1.5 kg)
- Yeast – Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series M21 – Belgian Wit Yeast
METHOD:
- Follow instructions on the kit, and substitute ingredients for the above enhancer and yeast.

Mangrove Munich Magic: Bavarian Festbier
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 x Mangrove Jack’s International Series Munich Lager
- 50g Carawheat
- 50g Hallertau MF Hops
- Yeast:
- Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series M76 – Bavarian Lager Yeast (temperature-controlled fermentation)
or - Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series M54 - California Lager Yeast (non-temperature-controlled fermentation)
- Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series M76 – Bavarian Lager Yeast (temperature-controlled fermentation)
METHOD:
- Add 3L boiling water to your fermenter with both cans of Mangrove Jack’s International Series Munich Lager and stir to mix.
- Add your grains and hops to separate hop socks and steep for 10 minutes in the hot mixture.
- After steeping for 10 minutes, remove your grains and hops from the brew.
- Top up your fermenter to 23L with cold water.
- Check that your brew’s temperature is within the appropriate range for the yeast you are using and sprinkle your yeast on the surface of the brew – stir well.
- Let ferment for approx. 8 days at the lower end of the yeast’s temperature range and then another 4 days at a few degrees higher but still within the yeast’s temperature range.
- Continue to bottling and kegging as usual. Store for up to 4 weeks in a cool dry place.
